PM Modi’s roar from the land of Somnath: ‘No power in the world can bend India’
Gir Somnath: These days, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on his two-day visit to Gujarat. On the second day of the tour i.e. on Monday, a different attitude of PM Modi was seen. After a grand road show at Gir Somnath, the Prime Minister performed Kumbhabhishek and offered prayers with rituals at the famous Somnath temple. During this, while addressing the public meeting, he gave a very strong and ‘aggressive’ message to the world. The PM made it clear that today’s India is not going to come under anyone’s pressure.
Answer to the invaders from the pages of history
Speaking from the stage of Somnath Amrit Mahotsav, PM Modi stressed on India’s cultural heritage and self-confidence. He said that history is witness to the fact that many invaders attacked the Somnath temple and tried to destroy its glory, but they could never succeed in their plans. The PM said that the invaders considered Somnath as just a structure, hence it was demolished again and again, but every time this temple stood in a more grand form. This is because those who broke it could never understand the ideological and spiritual strength of India.
India showed its strength by mentioning Pokhran
In his address, the Prime Minister recalled the memories of the historic Pokhran nuclear test of 11 May 1998. He said that even at that time the whole world had stood against India. After the test, strict sanctions were imposed on India and the eyes of the world turned red, but India neither backed down nor bowed down. The PM bluntly said that no power in the world can bend India or bring it under any pressure. He said that Indian culture considers the soul to be indestructible and this eternal consciousness is our biggest strength.
Sardar Patel remembered, program in Vadodara in the evening
The Prime Minister also remembered the contribution of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in uniting the country. He said that at the time of independence, Sardar Patel created a united India by uniting more than 500 princely states and also fulfilled his resolve to reconstruct the Somnath temple. PM told that he has a special and emotional connection with Somnath Dham.
