PM Modi's visit to Russia; Will participate in the 16th BRICS Summit on 22-23 October

New Delhi. 16th BRICS summit Russia: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Russia on October 22-23, 2024, at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin. During this visit, Prime Minister Modi will participate in the 16th BRICS summit to be held in Kazan under the chairmanship of Russia. The theme of this year's BRICS summit is strengthening multilateralism for equitable global development and security.

PM Modi will hold bilateral meetings

Leaders of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa will gather in this conference to be chaired by Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement that the summit will provide a valuable opportunity to assess the progress of initiatives launched by BRICS (16th BRICS summit Russia) and identify potential areas for future cooperation. During his visit, PM Modi is likely to hold bilateral meetings with the heads of BRICS member countries in Russia.

This year, Russia holds the presidency of BRICS. BRICS includes Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. Its new members are Saudi Arabia, Iran, Ethiopia, Egypt, Argentina and the United Arab Emirates.

Prime Minister Modi went to Russia in July

Earlier on July 8, Prime Minister Modi had gone to Russia for two days. Here Russian President Vladimir Putin honored Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the Order of St. Andrew the Apostle, Russia's highest civilian honor. PM Modi thanked Putin for this. He said that this is the honor of 140 crore Indians.
