PM Narendra Modi On US Independence Day 2026: On the occasion of America’s 250th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while greeting President Donald Trump and American citizens, described India-US relations as a strong force for global good. The Prime Minister expressed hope that the partnership between the two countries will become stronger in the coming years and will play an important role in global peace, prosperity and development.
On this occasion, the Indian Mission in New York also greeted the American citizens and underlined the shared democratic heritage of the two countries. At the same time, Indian Navy’s training ship INS Sudarshini is also representing India in America’s Independence Day celebrations, which is considered a symbol of the growing maritime cooperation and strategic relations between the two countries.

Emphasizing on India-US relations, PM Narendra Modi said that the two countries have not only a strategic partnership but also a shared belief in democracy, rule of law and the immense potential of the people. The Prime Minister said that these values make the India-US friendship a strong force for global good. He expressed hope that India-US partnership will reach new heights while wishing more prosperity, peace and progress for America in the coming 250 years.

In his message shared on social media platform X, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that on behalf of 1.4 billion Indians, he heartily congratulates America on this historic occasion. He said India-US relations are not limited to just a strategic partnership, but are based on values like democracy, rule of law and shared belief in the immense potential of the people.
Indian Mission also extended its best wishes
On this occasion, the Indian Mission in New York also wished the American citizens a happy Independence Day. The mission said in its message that India and the United States celebrate ‘We the People’, a shared commitment to freedom, independence and democratic values.
At the same time, the Indian Navy has sent INS Sudarshini to America to participate in the programs organized to commemorate America’s 250th anniversary. The Indian Navy said that INS Sudarshini has left for New York under Maritime Operation Lokayan-26. This expedition symbolizes India’s rich maritime heritage and commitment to further strengthen maritime cooperation, goodwill and mutual trust with various countries.

INS Sudarshini represented India
In fact, according to the information of the Defense Ministry, INS Sudarshini reached Baltimore port last week. The large ship departed Norfolk, Virginia, on June 26 and arrived in Baltimore via the historic Chesapeake & Delaware (C&D) Canal.
Earlier from 19 to 23 June, INS Sudarshini also participated in the Sail 250 Virginia Celebrations held at Norfolk, where she represented India in the Parade of Sail and City Crew Parade along with traditional sailing ships from different countries of the world.
