PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate Noida International Airport today, UP-NCR will get a new engine of development

Tezzbuzz Desk- Noida International Airport, one of India’s largest infrastructure projects, is all set for the inauguration of its first phase. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Phase-I and the cargo terminal of this ambitious project on Saturday. Along with this, he will also lay the foundation stone of the MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) facility to be built at the airport. The construction of this first phase has cost around Rs 11,200 crore, making it one of the largest aviation projects in the country.

On this important occasion, many senior leaders and public representatives including Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu, Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary, Governor Anandiben Patel, Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak will be present.

According to the programme, the Prime Minister will inspect the terminal building of the airport located at Jewar in Gautam Buddha Nagar at around 11:30 am. After this, he will formally inaugurate Phase-I at around 12 noon and will also address a public meeting on this occasion. During this period, the cargo terminal will also be inaugurated, which is expected to give new impetus to trade and logistics in the region.

This first phase of Noida International Airport will not only help handle the growing air traffic of Delhi-NCR, but will also boost regional development, employment generation and industrial activities. The creation of the MRO facility is also being considered as a major step towards making India self-reliant in the field of aircraft maintenance.
