PM Narendra Modi’s big statement in Lok Sabha: Situation in West Asia is worrying, security of Indians is top priority

Prime Minister in Lok Sabha Narendra Modi Expressing concern over the ongoing conflict in West Asia, he said that the situation there is very serious and worrying. He said that the impact of this war is not limited to that region only, but is affecting the economy of the entire world and the lives of common people.

In his address, the Prime Minister said that tension has been continuously increasing in West Asia for the last few weeks, due to which the economic and humanitarian crisis is deepening. He said that this region is very important for India because major energy needs of the country—such as crude oil and gas—are met from this region.

During this he told that the Foreign Minister S.Jaishankar and Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri We are continuously informing the Parliament about this situation and the government is keeping an eye on every aspect.

PM Modi said that this conflict is affecting global trade, energy supply and economic stability. In such a situation, all concerned countries should find a solution to this crisis through dialogue.

Regarding the safety of Indian citizens, the Prime Minister made it clear that the first priority of the government is the safety of Indians living abroad. He told that about 1 crore Indians live in Gulf countries and a large number of Indians work in maritime trade and shipping sector.

He informed that till now about 3 lakh 75 thousand Indians have been brought back safely. Apart from this, about 1000 Indians have been evacuated from Iran, which includes more than 700 medical students. The government has started a 24-hour emergency helpline and is fully alert to provide help to every citizen.

Talking about the impact on energy supply, PM Modi said that due to tension on important sea routes like the Strait of Hormuz, the movement of ships is being affected. This route is very important for India because oil, gas and fertilizers come into the country through this route. The government is constantly monitoring the situation and efforts are being made to ensure smooth movement of ships.

The Prime Minister also said that India is in constant touch with its friendly countries and is trying to handle the situation at the diplomatic level. He said that the government has formed a special group, which meets daily to review the situation and take necessary steps.

Regarding the impact on agriculture and the general public, PM Modi said that the government has already made arrangements for storing food grains and fertilizers, so that in case of any emergency, the country does not face problems and there is no additional burden on the farmers.

Along with this, he appealed to the countrymen to remain alert. PM Modi said that during such a crisis, rumors and fake news spread rapidly, so people should trust only official information. He warned that strict action would be taken against those involved in hoarding and black marketing.

Overall, it is clear from this statement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that the Indian government is serious about the situation in West Asia and is making preparations at every level. Maintaining the security of Indian citizens, energy supply and economic stability remains the priority of the government.
