Pokémon GO Fest 2026 Brings Fresh Raid Rewards
Niantic, the creator of Pokemon GOhas issued a special event to provide players affected by technical difficulties at Pokemon GO Fest 2026: Global with a second chance to experience some of the most popular Raid Battles of the GO Fest event such as Mega Mewtwo Y Super Mega Raid Battle.
The problem faced by the players at the original GO Fest was their inability to join some Raid Battles because of technical issues. While the issue did not consume Raid Passes, it prevented players from participating in raids as intended.
Pokémon GO: Compensation Event Scheduled for July 26
In order to compensate for this inconvenience, Niantic will launch a Special GO Fest 2026: Global – Sunday Raid Event for players who were unable to attend the original event. This event will be held on Sunday, July 26, between 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. local time.
Trainers in the following time zones can participate in this event: Asia-Pacific, Europe, Middle East, Africa, and all time zones from UTC+14 to UTC+0.
During this event, trainers will get to experience the Raid Boss lineup similar to that of the original Sunday GO Fest 2026.
Mega Mewtwo Y Returns
Among other attractions is the return of Mega Mewtwo Y in Super Mega Raids. It will give Trainers another chance to battle and catch one of the franchise’s most powerful Pokémon.
Also, during the event, there will be several dozens of Legendary, Mythical, Ultra Beasts and Mega Evolution Raid Bosses divided into three time blocks according to different themes.

As with the original GO Fest, many featured Pokémon will also have a chance of appearing in their Shiny forms.
Bonus Rewards for Trainers
Niantic is also going to introduce some other bonuses to make the compensation event more attractive. By spinning Gym Photo Discs during the day, players will get up to nine free Raid Passes. Pokémon caught in five-star and Mega Raids will have Special Backgrounds, whereas Mewtwo caught in Super Mega Raids can have a unique animated background after Mega Evolving.
Premier Balls will be more effective at capturing Raid Bosses in the event.
Players who had bought the Road of Legends Deluxe Pass before will get additional bonuses – 5,000 extra XP for completed raids, three bonus Candies, and one guaranteed Candy XL for completing five-star and higher raids.
Moreover, the Link Charge cap will be increased to 2,000 during the event.

Unlimited Remote Raids
In order to give Trainers across the world more flexibility, Niantic also announced that there will be no limit on Remote Raids from Saturday, July 25, at 1:00 p.m. PDT to Sunday, July 26, at 12:00 p.m. PDT.
This means that players will have an opportunity to take part in as many remote raids as they want to.
A Second Chance for the GO Fest Participants
Through the implementation of an almost full copy of the Sunday Raid schedule at GO Fest 2026, Niantic hopes to give Trainers the chance to capture rare Pokémon and do activities they couldn’t because of the technical issues encountered earlier.
The organization has expressed its gratitude to all the gamers for their patience and support, reminding them that they should always be mindful of their surroundings during the event.
