Ayodhya police left for Pratapgarh with Avinash Shukla, accused of theft of Ram temple offering, got 13 hours remand for investigation.

Ayodhya. Ayodhya Police has taken Avinash Shukla, accused of theft of Ram Mandir offerings, to his ancestral home Pratapgarh. SOG in-charge and the investigators of the case have come out with the police team along with the accused. The police have got only 13 hours’ remand for investigation, during which the four-wheeler of Avinash Shukla will be searched. Police believe that many important clues related to the case can be found from the vehicle and other important evidence including cash can also be recovered. The police is busy collecting evidence in the entire case and taking the investigation forward.

Avinash had deposited huge amount of money and donated jewelery

Avinash Shukla has deposited a huge amount of money in the theft of Ram temple offering. It is suspected that gold and silver jewelery is also included in it. The police came to know about this from his interrogation and the evidence collected. Therefore he is being taken on custody remand.

Police had arrested Avinash along with Tinnu Yadav, Subhash, Anukalp, Lavkush, Manish, Karunesh, Ramashankar. Maximum Rs 20.39 lakh was recovered from Avinash. There were dollars also. According to sources, during police interrogation, he admitted to having more money, which he had hidden in his ancestral house in Ayodhya and Pratapgarh.

Therefore, the police first applied for taking him on custody remand, which has been approved. On Friday, the police will take him on remand and interrogate him. He will be taken to Ayodhya and Pratapgarh to recover money and jewelery etc.

Brother’s role also investigated

A video of Avinash’s brother has gone viral on social media, in which he is seen making a reel with wads of notes. According to sources, he had come to Ayodhya a few months ago. He lived with Avinash only. After this he went back to Pratapgarh. Now his role is being investigated. There is suspicion of his involvement in disposing of the money. After the evidence is verified, he can also be made an accused.
