Police helpless in front of ‘Talibani decree’ of frenzied mob, held hostage for 22 hours, police remained silent
Bihar Bureau, Read, Patna
A sensational incident that put both law and humanity to shame came to light in Rajeshwari police station area of Tribeniganj sub-division area of Supaul district of Bihar on Wednesday evening. The furious Atitai mob not only caught hold of a minor boy and beat him brutally but also forced him to marry a minor girl under pressure.
The video of this shameful incident is becoming increasingly viral on social media. It is clearly visible in the video that a mob angry over the launch of the mob is surrounding a minor boy and beating him badly. The victim is crying and repeatedly saying that he wants to study now and will not get married. He kept pleading with the crowd with folded hands that he was still of schooling age and he wanted to make his career first. But that innocent teenager did not even make any move in front of the frenzied crowd.
The mob kept beating her continuously and finally both of them were forcibly married in the temple premises. What is even more surprising is that despite receiving information about the incident, the police failed to free the minor from the clutches of the mob. The family alleges that the boy remained in the custody of the girl’s side and the mob for about 22 hours, but the police did not even think it appropriate to take any serious initiative to free him, let alone take any initiative.
The teenager, broken by the beating, even tried to end his life.
According to eyewitnesses, the minor had completely broken down due to the immense pressure and pressure of the frenzied crowd. It is being told that during the fight, he tried to harm himself several times and also tried unsuccessfully to end his life by strangulating himself. He kept crying repeatedly saying that he should be released and that he wanted to study. But the crowd did not listen to him at all. Some people kept making videos on mobile and some people kept beating him.

Ultimately, under pressure, both of them got married in the temple itself.
It is being said that this would be the outcome of the friendship that started through Instagram about eight months ago. Perhaps both the minors had not imagined this. On Wednesday, the girlfriend had called the boy to meet her in the temple in the evening. According to the information received, Prince Kumar, son of Sudhir Yadav, resident of Charane Tamua, had befriended a girl from a nearby village through Instagram about seven-eight months ago. There was a conversation between the two on social media. It is said that on Wednesday evening, the girl had called the young man to meet her at a temple located in Gochar Bhatni Tola. When both of them met near the temple, some youth of the village noticed them. After this, a large number of family members and villagers gathered there and the atmosphere became quite tense. The mob caught hold of the boy and started beating him. After this, the mob created a Panchayat-like situation and forcibly married both of them.
Dialed 112, but the police returned helpless in front of the crowd.
It is not that the police did not get information about this shameful incident. As soon as the boy’s family members got information about the incident, they dialed 112, informed the local police station and senior officials through mobile and after receiving the information about the need to rescue the boy from the crowd, the police team reached the spot, but due to the unruly nature of the villagers, the police could not do anything. It is said that the crowd also scuffled with the police, after which the team had to return empty handed. But the powerless face of the police came to light when after Dial 112 returned empty handed, the local police station incharge Yugal Kishore again did not take any concrete initiative to free the minor, and left the minor at the mercy of the mob bent on killing him. Due to which serious questions are being raised on the working style of the police.
held hostage for 22 hours
The boy’s family members allege that their minor son remained in the custody of the girl’s side and the mob for about 22 hours.
The family members say that they continuously appealed to the police for help, but no action was taken by the police. Even the family members gave a written application and demanded action against four named and many unknown people, but the police kept sleeping under a long sheet after giving assurance of action throughout the night.
Family members in panic, fear of untoward incident
After this incident the boy’s family is in complete panic.
The family members were crying and in bad condition and they were afraid that some major accident might happen to their son. Family members say that if the police had shown strictness in time, such a big incident would not have happened.
Jewelery worth Rs 18 lakh was stolen in the same temple at night
The most shocking thing in this whole matter is that the same temple where this sensational incident took place in the evening was attacked by thieves late at night. And stole jewelery worth more than Rs 18 lakh from the temple. After receiving information about this major incident of theft on Thursday, the district police captain, SDPO and police station head reached the spot along with the police force and tried their best to leave an impression of their sensitivity by investigating the incident of theft in the temple.
The above mentioned major incident was hidden from the SP.
The most surprising thing was that when the police captain reached the temple on Thursday morning to investigate the theft incident, the local police officials did not even consider it appropriate to inform him about such a big incident that happened in the evening – beating of a minor, forced marriage and hostage taking. And Huzoor Ala was sent away after showing the incident of theft. This has raised serious questions on the working style of the police. Local people say that why did the local police hide such a big incident from its own senior officer. Was an attempt made to suppress the matter to protect someone’s negligence? Or he thought it useless to tell it. Not only this, the sub-divisional police officer had also got the information but he also kept giving assurances. Despite being present at the headquarters, he did not take the initiative to go to the spot or save the child from the clutches of the mob.
However, the police swung into action after 22 hours and claimed that the boy had been recovered, but were refraining from telling where Yubak had been kept safe.
Due to which the market of discussion is hot in the area.
After the incident, various types of discussions are taking place in the area.
People say that if the law appears so weak in front of the crowd, such incidents may increase in future.
