Under the cyber awareness campaign, people of Nibiyahwa village were made aware by Lotan Kotwali Police about the crimes like money fraud/cyber fraud/ and unnecessary illegal comments/objectionable videos on social media (social platforms like WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter) and misuse of personal information and cyber crimes happening currently. On Wednesday, under the leadership of Police Station Head Hariom Kushwaha, the cyber cell team gave information to the people of Nibiyahwa village about how to avoid cyber crimes under the cyber awareness campaign. Made aware of the helpline number 1930 issued by the government for prevention of crimes and reporting instructions on NCRP portal. Avoid using the same password for all online accounts. Never share personal and financial information over unknown phone calls or emails. Avoid clicking links or opening attachments from unknown sources. Install anti-virus software on all your devices and keep it updated. Be careful sharing your personal information on social media.
