Political turmoil increased amid CJP’s protest, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan met Amit Shah
Cockroach Janata Party (CJP)’s ‘Chalo Sansad’ march reached near Parliament House on the first day of the monsoon session of Parliament. To stop the protesters from moving forward, the police strengthened the security cordon and fired tear gas shells to disperse the crowd. A large number of police and paramilitary forces are deployed at the spot and the situation is being constantly monitored. Meanwhile, information about Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s visit to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah has come to light. However, no official information has been released by the government regarding the agenda of this meeting.
On the other hand, CJP has earlier claimed that the government has started talks with it regarding the movement. Amidst this development, organization chief Abhijeet Deepke has ended his fast. At the same time, environmental activist Sonam Wangchuk is still on hunger strike. Earlier, he had also sought permission from the Safdarjung Hospital administration to leave the hospital for some time and join the Parliament march. Information about the official decision from the hospital administration in this regard has not been revealed yet.
According to the information, despite the police barricades, a large number of protesters succeeded in moving forward and reached the area around the Parliament House. According to reports, as the protesters approached the Parliament House, police fired tear gas shells to stop them from moving forward. Security forces deployed additional forces at several places to control the crowd and tightened security across the area. Meanwhile, information has also come to light that many protesters reached the Rail Bhawan complex. However, detailed official information in this regard has not been released yet by the authorities.

During the ‘Chalo Sansad’ march of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), the protesting students sat on the road in front of the Parliament House and started raising slogans in support of their demands. During this time, some students tried to cross the police barricade, but due to tight security arrangements, they were not allowed to proceed. After failing to cross the barricade, the students along with their other friends sat on strike on the road. The policemen present at the spot tried to pacify the protesters and vacate the road, but the students remained firm on their demands. Seeing the situation, senior police officers also reached the spot and talked to the protesters and asked them to disperse peacefully. However, when the students did not leave even after talks, the police used mild force to remove them.
Claim of SP MPs being detained during the march
News of the detention of several Samajwadi Party (SP) MPs has come to light during the protest in support of the protesting students in the Parliament complex. According to media reports, Dimple Yadav is also among the detained MPs. It is being told that Samajwadi Party MPs had taken out a march in the Parliament House complex in support of the protesting students. After this, security agencies took action and detained some MPs. At the same time, Samajwadi Party has opposed this action and called it unfair. The party issued a statement saying that the MPs were registering their protest democratically and the action taken against them is not justified.
The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) had started a protest at Jantar Mantar on June 20 demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, an impartial investigation into the alleged NEET paper leak and reforms in the education system. In support of this movement, social activist Sonam Wangchuk started a hunger strike from June 28. Later on Saturday, Delhi Police took him to Safdarjung Hospital due to health reasons, where he was admitted. After this, a significant increase was seen in the number of protesters at Jantar Mantar. People associated with the movement claim that after Wangchuk was taken to the hospital, a large number of supporters reached Jantar Mantar and thousands of people participated in the already announced ‘Chalo Sansad’ march on Monday.
