Controversy over the plot based on conversion

Women’s participation in special events
Before the release of the film, the makers organized a special event in which they invited women who came from different parts of the country. These women were sharing their life events. The makers say that they are trying to depict the reality through these stories.
Strong criticism by Congress
Soon after the event, Kerala Congress gave a strong reply on social media platform ‘X’. He blamed the film team and said that out of the 30 women introduced, not a single one was from Kerala and it was clear that the film was made only to tarnish the image of Kerala. He also raised the question that if the issue of ‘beef eating’ is being raised, then why does the BJP not make such films on Goa or the North-Eastern states.
Court proceedings and future situations
Producer Vipul Shah and his team consider the film to be inspired by reality, but critics say that it portrays the particular state unfairly. Several petitions have been filed to stop the release of the film, and the Kerala High Court may independently give its verdict after watching the film.
