Political stir with the slogan ‘Brahmin Chala Akhilesh ke Saath’, will SP be able to change the equation before 2027?

In view of the 2027 assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, Samajwadi Party has indicated a change in its strategy by holding a Brahmin conference in Kanpur. With the slogan ‘Brahmin Chala Akhilesh ke Sang’, SP has tried to break into the Brahmin vote bank along with its PDA equation.

Knews Desk- Political parties have intensified their preparations for the 2027 assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. Before entering the electoral fray, all the parties are busy strengthening their reach to different social groups. Under this strategy, Samajwadi Party organized a big conference regarding Brahmin community in Kanpur.

In this program, a banner placed behind the stage attracted the most attention, on which it was written- ‘Brahmin went with Akhilesh’. As soon as this slogan came to light, a round of discussions has started in the politics of the state. Political experts are linking this with the new election strategy of SP.

Ballia’s SP MP Sanatan Pandey attended the conference as the chief guest. Addressing the people of Brahmin community, he appealed to support Samajwadi Party in the upcoming assembly elections.

SP’s eye on Brahmin vote bank

Samajwadi Party is continuously calling the equation of PDA i.e. backward, Dalit and minority classes as the basis of its politics. However, this conference held in Kanpur has also indicated that the party is now trying to include Brahmin voters with itself.

Speakers in the program raised issues related to the Brahmin community and also mentioned the alleged problems and issues related to the community in the state. SP leaders tried to assure the Brahmin community that the party would give priority to their interests and respect.

Claiming respect and security after coming to power

MP Sanatan Pandey said that this event is part of the preparations for the program related to the birth anniversary of socialist leader Janeshwar Mishra, which is proposed in Lucknow on August 5. He claimed that if the Samajwadi Party government is formed in the state, then the Brahmin community will be given respect, security and proper representation.

He said that the Brahmin community had got respect during the SP government and in future also the party will raise voice for their rights. During this, he also raised questions on the current government regarding law and order, education system and democratic institutions.

Statement on Ram temple offering issue

When asked about alleged irregularities related to offerings in Ram temple, Sanatan Pandey accused Champat Rai, former general secretary of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and Trust. He demanded a fair investigation into the matter and action against the culprits.

Trying to create new equations before elections

Caste equations have always played an important role in the politics of Uttar Pradesh. In such a situation, organizing a Brahmin conference of the Samajwadi Party before the elections is being considered politically important.

The election results will answer how successful SP will be in its efforts to bring Brahmin voters, who are considered traditional supporters of BJP, to its side. At present, this conference has definitely started a new debate in the politics of the state.
