Political Turmoil in Bihar, High Court Issues Notice to 42 MLAs

New Delhi: A major political update has emerged in Bihar. The Patna High Court has issued notices to 42 MLAs, including the Speaker of the Bihar Assembly. The notices were issued due to allegations of irregularities in the electoral process.

The notices were issued following a petition filed by defeated candidates challenging the MLAs’ victories. The current MLAs will now have to present their case in court. Several prominent MLAs from the ruling party are included in the petition. The court has summoned responses from all of them.

Following their defeat in the assembly elections, candidates filed a petition in the Patna High Court, accusing the MLAs of rigging and non-compliance with the rules.

Now, a High Court bench has heard the matter and issued notices to all 42 MLAs, seeking their responses. The MLAs accused include Assembly Speaker Prem Kumar, Energy Minister Vijendra Yadav, former minister Jivesh Mishra, MLA Chetan Anand, RJD MLA from Goh, Amarendra Prasad, and other opposition members.
