Political turmoil in Kerala: Congress accuses BJP leader of having a bungalow worth Rs 200 crore, demands cancellation of candidature
A big controversy has arisen in Kerala politics before the elections. The Indian National Congress has demanded the Election Commission to cancel the candidature of Rajiv Chandrashekhar. Congress alleges that Rajiv Chandrashekhar has a luxurious bungalow of about 49,000 square feet in Koramangala, a posh area of Bengaluru, whose value is said to be around Rs 200 crore.

The party posted on social media platform X alleging that Chandrashekhar did not mention this property in his election affidavit. Congress says that from his affidavit it appears that despite being a billionaire businessman, he has shown himself as not having any residential property or vehicle, which raises questions.

Congress has appealed to the Election Commission to immediately intervene in this matter and cancel his candidature under the Representation of the People Act. The party also said that if action is not taken in this matter, questions may be raised among the public about the impartiality of the Election Commission. At present, the political atmosphere on this issue has heated up and now everyone’s eyes are on the next step of the Election Commission.
