Political turmoil intensifies in Bihar Rajya Sabha elections, suspense increased due to missing MLAs during voting
Tezzbuzz Desk- Political turmoil has intensified regarding Rajya Sabha elections in Bihar. During voting, strategic activities are being seen in both the ruling and opposition camps. Till now 239 MLAs have exercised their franchise, while some MLAs have still not turned up to vote, due to which there is suspense regarding the election result.
According to sources, all the MLAs of the NDA camp have voted. Four MLAs from the opposition camp have not yet arrived to vote. Of these, three MLAs are said to be from Indian National Congress and one MLA is from Rashtriya Janata Dal. If these MLAs do not reach to vote till 4 pm, then NDA’s victory on all five seats is considered almost certain.
The political discussion intensified amid the elections when two women MLAs of Jitan Ram Manjhi’s party were seen with Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav. The two MLAs were seen leaving the room along with Grand Alliance candidate Amarendra Dhari and All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) MLAs and going to vote. After this, discussion started in political circles that she could vote in support of RJD.
It is being told that three Congress MLAs and one RJD MLA have not arrived to vote. The mobile phones of these MLAs are also said to be switched off, due to which many questions have started being raised in political circles.
The MLAs who are said to be missing include Congress MLA Surendra Kushwaha from Valmikinagar, Congress MLA Manoj Biswas from Forbesganj, Congress MLA Manohar Singh from Manihari, RJD MLA Faisal Rehman from Dhaka.
Voting is being held for a total of five seats in Bihar in the Rajya Sabha elections, where six candidates are in the fray. According to the data, NDA currently has the support of 202 MLAs, while the Grand Alliance has around 35 MLAs. On the basis of numbers, it is considered easy for NDA to win four seats, while the contest for the fifth seat has become interesting.
Meanwhile, JDU MLA Anant Kumar Singh was seen reaching the assembly in an ambulance and voting. He claimed that NDA will win all five seats. While talking to the media, he also said that if Nitish Kumar does not remain on the post of Chief Minister, he will not contest elections in future. He also expressed his desire to make Nitish Kumar’s son Nishant Kumar the Chief Minister of Bihar.
At the same time, opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav has also claimed victory. He said that the Grand Alliance has sufficient support and the MLAs of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen and Bahujan Samaj Party are also getting support. According to him, the figure of Grand Alliance has reached 41 and victory is certain.
Now everyone’s eyes are on the completion of the voting process and the final result, which will make it clear how true the political claims prove to be.
