In an official statement released on social media platform The statement stressed that any comment or action that questions the dignity and integrity of Muslims is absolutely unacceptable to the party.
AIMIM further pointed out that Muslims in West Bengal, despite years of “secular” rule, remain one of the most marginalized communities. Reiterating its political stance, the party said that it aims to give an independent voice to groups that are under-represented, and hence it will fight the upcoming elections on its own, without any alliance.
The All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) raised the issue during a press conference and demanded an investigation by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). The party also accused Kabir of having links with prominent BJP figures, including Subhendu Adhikari and Himanta Biswa Sarma, as well as possible links with the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
