Pollution in Delhi once again becomes ‘severe’, dense fog becomes a problem, warning issued
Dense fog covered Delhi and surrounding areas on Sunday, due to which visibility became absolutely zero. With this, the air quality of the city again reached ‘severe’ category. Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) has advised passengers to exercise caution.
At around 11 pm on Sunday night, airport operator DIAL posted on its official X handle that special procedures have been initiated at Delhi Airport due to low visibility. The post said, ‘Low visibility procedures are underway at Delhi Airport.’

At present, all flights are operating normally, but passengers have been asked to check their flight information with their airlines. According to the Sameer app of the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Delhi’s AQI was recorded at 404 at around 11:20 pm, which falls in the ‘severe’ category. This can cause breathing problems and health problems.

Air India issued a warning on Saturday night that flights may be delayed, canceled or rescheduled due to dense fog in northern India. The company said that they are doing everything possible so that passengers face less hassle, but unexpected delays may occur. His team is ready to help.
SpiceJet also said that due to poor visibility in Delhi, all incoming and connecting flights may be affected. Passengers were asked to keep checking their flight status on spicejet.com.

After more than a week, dense fog again covered Delhi-NCR. It became almost impossible to be visible in Noida and other areas. People shared videos on social media, in which only fog is visible. One person wrote, ‘Dense fog in Delhi-NCR, especially in Noida. Travel with caution.’ Another wrote, ‘In Noida now! Fog is fog.’
This fog is affecting road, rail and air travel. Passengers are requested to check their flight or train information before leaving home. The Meteorological Department has warned of fog in the coming days also.
