Pollution in Pakistan has worsened the air quality in many cities, government closed schools and colleges.

On Friday, restrictions were imposed in Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Multan, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Nankana Sahib, Gujarat, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Toba Tek Singh, Vehari and Khanewal.

The air quality in Multan, the largest city of south Punjab, crossed 2135 between 8 am and 9 am. Due to increase in the amount of PM 2.5 in the air, people's health has started deteriorating. Multan's AQI crossed 980 at 10 pm. Only a level of 300 is considered dangerous.

The air quality in three quality monitor offices of Multan has been reported as 2313, 1635 and 1527. Pakistan's education department has also ordered the closure of tuition centres. Let us tell you that in the pollution ranking on Friday, the condition of seven cities of Pakistan was bad. The wind speed in Lahore and surrounding places is less than 11 kilometers per hour. In such a situation, the amount of pollution has exceeded the dangerous category.

There is a blanket of dense smog throughout the day in Lahore. The administration has banned construction work here. The AQI here has crossed 784. Daily activities have become difficult due to dangerous smog. People have been advised to avoid coming in contact with outside air. People are using masks outside their homes.
