MTV has confirmed new details about the future of one of its longest-running reality franchises. The network recently revealed when the next installment will arrive. It also clarified that the upcoming season will mark the end of the series.
Jersey Shore: Family Vacation is ending with Season 9
MTV has confirmed that Jersey Shore: Family Vacation will end with its upcoming ninth season, which premieres May 7. The final season will consist of 18 episodes and will air globally on MTV, marking the end of the revival series that began in 2018. According to Varietythe announcement confirms the franchise will conclude with this installment.
The revival followed the original Jersey Shore cast reconnecting through shared trips and personal milestones after the original series aired for six seasons from 2009 to 2012.
As per Variety, a press release stated, “this farewell season marks the culmination of a franchise that entertained millions with major life milestones, laugh-out-loud chaos, and the unfiltered chemistry that defined an era of reality television.”

Season 9 of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation will premiere May 7 at 8 p.m. ET/PT and will include 18 episodes.
The upcoming season continues the long-running reunion series centered on the original cast members spending time together during group vacations and significant life events.
MTV stated the season is “packed with fist-pump-worthy milestones and unforgettable moments, from pregnancies and baby showers to bachelorette parties, gender reveals, ab reveals, births, birthdays, weddings and more.” The network said the episodes will highlight the personal journeys and milestones experienced by the cast members.
Angelina Pivarnick experiences “a full emotional roller coaster,” while Deena Cortese organizes charity events as PTA president. DJ Pauly D launches a record label, Jenni “JWOWW” Farley directs her second movie, and Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino celebrates 10 years sober while opening a rehab center.
Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi balances “cheer mom life, friendship and boss-lady business moves,” Ronnie Ortiz-Magro opens up about his struggles, and Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola experiences pregnancy, childbirth and a wedding. Vinny Guadagnino tours with his stand-up act and organizes a celebratory roast for the cast.
