POSH Committee takes strict action against production designer Saini Johar, found guilty in sexual harassment case

Amidst all the discussions about Artificial Intelligence and the digital era, a very serious matter related to the internal security of the film industry and women’s rights has come to light. Famous director Aditya Dhar’s much talked about film ‘Dhurandhar’ is once again in the media headlines. However, this time the film is being discussed not because of any box office record or trailer, but because of the serious allegations against its production designer Saini S Johare. A big and important update has come out in this case, where the internal investigation committee of the production house has found the accused guilty.

POSH Committee of B62 Studios announced its decision after 6 months of investigation

According to media reports, the victim girl had filed an official complaint with Aditya Dhar and Lokesh Dhar’s production company ‘B62 Studios’ in October 2025 last year, before filing a police complaint in April this year. Taking this matter seriously, the company handed over the investigation to its POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) committee.

After a very thorough and meticulous investigation lasting about six months, the committee prepared its report at the end of March this year. According to sources, the internal committee has found production designer Saini S Johre guilty mainly on two serious counts:

  • First: In case of sexual harassment of a female colleague at the workplace.

  • Second: In an attempt to tamper with evidence to hide the allegations against him.

The committee has also informed the victim girl about all the facts and findings revealed during the investigation.

Name removed from OTT version and credits of the film

After this serious matter came to light and he was found guilty by the internal committee, the production house has taken a tough stance against the accused. Saini S Johre’s name has been completely removed from the main credits of the film ‘Dhurandhar’.

Although, his name was visible in the initial OTT version of the film, but recently Saini Johre’s name has been completely disappeared from the Raw and Unseen Version of ‘Dhurandhar’ released on the digital platform on May 22. In the film industry, such a step is being seen as a strong message regarding the safety of women at the workplace.

The whole matter is of hostage taking and assault in the hotel room.

This whole controversy started during the shooting of the film in Chandigarh. According to a detailed report in ‘India Today’, the accused Saini S Johre had called the victim girl to his hotel room on the pretext of work. It is alleged that there Johar tried to force and molest the girl.

When the victim protested against this disgusting act, the accused brutally assaulted her. Apart from this, very serious and criminal allegations have also been made against Johar like mixing some intoxicant in the girl’s drink and forcibly keeping her hostage inside the room.

Chandigarh Police had arrested him, got bail from the court.

Seeing the seriousness of this matter, the victim not only approached the internal committee of the production house but also approached the law. Taking immediate action on the FIR lodged by the girl on April 20, Chandigarh Police showed promptness and arrested the accused Saini S Johre and sent him to jail. However, later as per the legal procedures, the accused was granted bail by the District Court, but the police and legal investigation is still going on.
