Recently, Vaibhav was also in the news for not appearing in the 10th class CBSE board exam. According to media reports, his father Sanjeev told that Vaibhav has decided to concentrate completely on cricket this year, due to which he will not appear in the board exam. Currently, he is busy preparing for IPL 2026 by joining the team.
There was a stir in the Under-19 World Cup
Vaibhav was an important part of the Indian team that recently won the 2026 Under-19 World Cup. He batted brilliantly throughout the tournament and played a historic inning of 175 runs in the final. He was also selected as ‘Player of the Match’ for this performance. By scoring 439 runs in 7 matches, he played a big role in helping India win the title.
Big start in IPL
Vaibhav made his IPL debut for Rajasthan Royals in 2025. He impressed everyone by scoring 252 runs in 7 matches at a tremendous strike rate of 206.56.
