Powerful electric SUV for big families, Toyota Highlander EV will give 515KM range, direct competition to Kia EV9

Toyota Highlander EV: If you also think that a strong, long range electric car for a large family suv Should it happen, now your wait may be over. Toyota is playing a big bet in the race of electric cars with its new Toyota Highlander EV (2027 Model) Has been presented. Till now the company did not have a model to compete with big electric SUVs like Kia EV9 and Hyundai Ioniq 9, but now the picture has changed. There were no major changes in the Highlander for years, but for 2027, it has been launched in a fully electric avatar.

Powerful battery and range up to 515KM

The new Highlander EV will come in two variants, XLE and Limited. Two battery options will be available in it:

• 77 kWh battery: Range up to 462 km on a full charge
• 95.8 kWh battery: Range up to 515 km with larger battery

Fast charging support has been provided in it, due to which this SUV can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 30 minutes. Special driving modes will also be available according to different roads and weather.

Look such that everyone’s eyes stop on the road

The design of 2027 Highlander EV is completely new and modern. The front has a ‘Hammerhead’ style, with thin LED lights and headlamps placed in the corners of the bumper. This SUV is slightly larger than before, its width and wheelbase have been increased. With this, people sitting in all three rows will get more space. Its strength and road presence is somewhat similar to the Fortuner, which is considered to be Toyota’s most popular SUV in India.

Hi-tech and luxury interior

One gets a premium feel as soon as you step inside the SUV.

• Large 14-inch touchscreen
• 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster
• 64 color ambient lighting
• large panoramic glass roof

Premium finish on the seats, heating feature in the front seats and captain seats in the second row are provided. The special thing is that charging port facility is available in all three rows.

When will it come to India?

The Toyota Highlander EV will be launched globally later this year and will go on sale in early 2027. First of all it will be launched in America. There has been no official announcement regarding the launch in India yet. Currently, only Kia EV9 is available in this segment in India. If Toyota brings it to the Indian market, it will directly give tough competition to Kia and could become the company’s second electric car.
