Lucknow, 13 January. Describing Pragati Portal as a strong basis of good governance in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that this platform has proved to be extremely effective in quick review and resolution of projects, schemes and public complaints. He said that ‘Pragati’ is a strong example of cooperative, accountable and result-oriented governance system.
In a press conference held in the capital Lucknow on Tuesday, he said that after the formation of the central government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2014, the positive results of visionary policies are clearly visible in the country and the state. Based on the success of the ‘Swagat’ portal developed in Gujarat in the year 2003, ‘Pragati’ was implemented at the national level, which has today become an important pillar of system reforms.
Yogi said, “Pragati has put into practice the thinking of “Minimum Government, Maximum Governance”. This has made responsibility and accountability clear in governance.” He said that 377 major projects across the country are being reviewed directly by the Prime Minister, which has yielded positive results in the economic and social sectors.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Pragati Portal has emerged as a game changer for Uttar Pradesh. Projects worth about Rs 4 lakh 65 thousand crore are related to this in the state. Many of these projects have been completed, while work on many others is going on at a fast pace. There has been significant improvement in the implementation of projects due to the collective efforts and coordination of various departments.
He said that through Pragati portal, resolution of 97 percent cases in the state has been ensured. This process of issue resolution has become an effective model of good governance, which has accelerated the resolution of public grievances and development related problems. The Chief Minister said that platforms like Pragati have worked to take Uttar Pradesh from “bottleneck” to “breakthrough”. This is a symbol of the new thinking of New India, where problems are being identified and solutions are being ensured in a timely and transparent manner.
