Prakash Raj takes dig at south Indian stars for praising ‘Dhurandhar 2’
As soon as the sequel to Dhurandharstarring Ranveer Singh, hit the big screen, reviews started pouring in. The majority consisted of praise, not just from fans but from celebrities as well.
The spy thriller, which smashed records and made history at the beginning of its run, gained immense praise from superstars of the South Indian film industry too.
Allu Arjun, Vijay Deverakonda, Mahesh Babu, Ram Charan, and Jr NTR were among the most prominent names who took to social media and lauded Aditya Dhar’s directorial venture.
However, actor Prakash Raj did not approve of their opinions and took a dig at them, suggesting that they were obligated to post positively about the action saga.

The 60-year-old actor reacted to his post and wrote, “Signs of Obligations are spreading South too .. #justasking.”
Previously, he had shared that he was distancing himself from the film.
Meanwhile, in an unusual development, South Indian super stars like Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun, Vijay Deverakonda, and Jr NTR shared their positive reviews after watching previews and initial shows of the film.
They lauded Aditya Dhar for his genius approach as a director, and also praised Ranveer Singh for his brilliant acting.
Besides them, several Bollywood stars like Ananya Panday, Kartik Aaryan, and Sidharth Malhotra also commend the film, and director Madhur Bhandarkar even suggested that Ranveer deserves a National Award for his performance.
The spy action thriller was released in five languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
Written and directed by Aditya Dhar and produced by Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar, the film released in theatres worldwide on March 19.
It stars Ranveer Singh, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal , and Sanjay Dutt. The film also features Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, Danish Pandor, and Gaurav Gera, among others.
