Pregnant Divyanka Tripathi flaunts baby bump, holds husband Vivek Dahiya’s hand at traditional baby shower

Popular TV couple, Divyanka Tripathi, who rose to fame with Ekta Kapoor’s show Yeh Mohabbatein hai, and Vivek Dahiya tied the knot in 2015, and after 10 years of their marriage, the couple is all set to welcome their first child together.

Divyanka kept their pregnancy a secret for over six months and last week she spoke about embracing motherhood. The couple took to their blog to document their pregnancy journey and revealed why they hid it. The couple even shared that it’s natural and not medically produced; IVF is in order, considering Divyanaka is 41 years old.

After Divyanka and Vivek publicly announced they were expecting their first child, Divyanka, who had previously avoided the media and Instagram during her pregnancy, began reconnecting and meeting with her industry friends.

On Sunday, she met TV actor Shraddha Arya and hung out at Mumbai’s famous spot, Marine Drive. Several photos from her day outing have gone viral.

In the photos shared by Shraddha, Divyanka was seen in a blue dress, and Shraddha opted for a mint green strapless dress. Vivek was seen enjoying with Shraddha’s son as they enjoyed their baby moon.

Sharing the pics, Shraddha wrote: “Afternoons like these …old friends, little ones, and love growing in the most beautiful way.”

Divyanka replied warmly to the post and wrote in the comment section: “Third one is my favourite most picture! Was delightful catching up with you and truly value your words of wisdom that come from experience mommy senior!”

Apart from several photos and videos that have gone viral, which give a sneak peek into Divyanka’s traditional baby shower. In the viral photos, Divyanka is seen in a red traditional outfit, caressing her baby bump. Vivek, her husband, along with others, has accompanied her.

In the photos, Divyanka is standing beside a cute two-tier cake that celebrates Divyanka’s motherhood. Divyanka looks beautiful as she opted for a traditional baby shower, ditching Instagram-worthy celebrations wherein celebs tend to flaunt their baby bump in skimpy outfits. Divyanka was seen caressing her bump and kept her hair open, along with a gajra tied to her hair.

Recently, in an interview with Vicky Lalwani, Divyanka Tripathi revealed that her baby is due in mid-June. She explained that she and Vivek waited until this stage in their lives to have a child, choosing not to have children early in their marriage.

She said, “The baby is due in mid-June. Vivek and I wanted the baby only now, we tried, and it happened. We are blessed. Our parents are ecstatic. I first broke the news to Vivek, and then we dialled our parents almost immediately. We don’t have any preferences, be it a boy or a girl. And yes, I must say that we managed to hide it for six full months. Actually, I hardly stepped out, and that did the trick.”

In her vlog, she said. Divyanka added that they didn’t celebrate the pregnancy right away, as she became cautious of what she should eat and how she moved.

She was quoted as saying: “I was checking those strips almost every month, waiting for the lines to appear, and when it finally happened, it took time to sink in. When I told Vivek, we were quietly happy. I didn’t celebrate right away. There was a shift in my mind and body. I became very cautious about what I ate, how I worked out, and even how I moved. I was suddenly extremely self-aware and protective.”
