Premier League 2025-26: Why was there a minute’s silence before the Nottingham Forest vs Manchester City match?
A minute’s silence was held at the City Ground ahead of the Nottingham Forest vs Manchester City Premier League clash on Saturday as a tribute to John Robertson, who died at 72.
Forest legend Robertson, who was described as ‘The Picasso of our Game’ by Brian Clough, made 397 appearances for the club, scoring 61 goals.
Robertson provided the assist for Trevor Francis to score the only goal when Nottingham Forest won the 1979 European Cup final.
