Preparing to shock the users, shopping on ONDC may be expensive!
New Delhi: To reduce the dominance of big e-commerce companies like Amazon and Flipkart in the country, the Government of India has started a new initiative in the form of ONDC. Its full name is Open Network for Digital Commerce. It is an e-commerce platform, where sellers can sell their goods directly to customers. Through this, lakhs of vendors in small towns and rural areas have become financially empowered. Now on this platform, a fee of up to Rs 1.20 may have to be paid for transactions above Rs 250. The revenue collected from this will be used to meet the new needs of the industry.
