President Donald Trump said- ‘To end the war, Iran will have to completely abandon its nuclear program’

Amidst the war in the Middle East, US President Donald Trump has said that at present he is not ready to make any agreement to end the war with Iran. He says that Iran wants to make a deal, but the conditions currently in place are not sufficient. However, he did not say what the terms of the agreement would be. In an interview given to NBC, Trump said that if any agreement is reached, it will definitely have the condition that Iran completely abandons its nuclear program.

Trump also said that he is planning with many countries to protect the Strait of Hormuz. This sea route is considered very important for oil tankers. Due to increased tensions along this route due to war, oil prices have increased around the world. He said that many countries have asked to help in protecting this waterway. Trump expressed hope that countries like China, France, Japan, South Korea and the United Kingdom can also send their warships so that the movement of ships remains safe.

Trump also confirmed that the US military has attacked Kharg Island, an important Iranian oil hub. According to him, many parts of the island were destroyed in the attack, although he said that the oil pipelines and energy infrastructure were not completely damaged so that it would be possible to rebuild them. This war started on February 28 when America and Israel launched joint attacks on Iran. After this, Iran also started retaliatory attacks on Israeli and American targets. Many people have been killed so far in this conflict and 13 American Army soldiers have also died.

Trump also said that many of Iran’s missile and drone systems have been destroyed in the US strikes and Iran’s military strength could be further weakened in the coming days. Meanwhile, Trump also raised questions about Iran’s new supreme leader Mojtaba Khamenei. He said that it is not yet clear whether he is alive or not, because he has not appeared in public.

Trump also dismissed the American people’s concerns about rising petrol prices. He said that after the war ends, oil and gas prices will go down again. Apart from this, Trump also criticized Volodymyr Zelensky and said that it is more difficult to reach a compromise with him to end the Ukraine war than with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
