President Draupadi Murmu Assent VB-G Ram Ji Bill: President Draupadi Murmu launches Vikas Bharat-Employment and Livelihood Mission (Rural) ‘VB-GRAM’ Bill, 2025 has been approved. Additionally, this law has now replaced the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA). The guarantee of wage employment for rural families has now been increased to 125 days per year. This law replaced the old MNREGA Act. This decision of the Modi government is being described as a revolutionary step towards strengthening the economy of rural India.
Despite huge uproar in Parliament and opposition from the opposition, this bill was passed on Thursday. Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan gave a befitting reply to every attack of the opposition. He clearly said that Congress has destroyed the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi, whereas Prime Minister Modi has implemented them in the true sense. The minister alleged that Congress has committed the sin of stealing Gandhi’s name, while our government is doing welfare of the poor by following the path shown by him.
Modi government has the upper hand in figures
Shivraj Singh Chouhan presented figures comparing the work of UPA and NDA governments. He told that while only 1660 crore man days of work was generated during the Congress rule, the Modi government has created a record 3210 crore man days. Not only this, women’s participation has also increased from earlier 48 percent to 56.73 percent now. The government claims that the previous law was not implemented as forcefully as it has been made effective under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. Now the new law will protect workers and implement the schemes in a better way.

What is ‘Ji Ram Ji’ Vision of?
This new law is part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Developed India 2047’ Has been brought to fulfill the dream of. Its full name is ‘Developed India-Employment and Livelihood Mission (Rural)’ Is. Its objective is not just to provide work, but to create a balance between farming and employment in rural areas. Now plans will be made in the villages according to local needs and attention will also be given to environmental protection. The aim of the government is that this should increase the income of the village people and they should not have to migrate to the city. This law will also give a new boost to agricultural productivity and more money will come into the pockets of rural families.
