Price Hike: BMW and Mini vehicles will become expensive from April, this is the reason for the increase in prices
Price Hike: BMW India has announced a price increase of up to 2% for its entire car lineup and Mini range. According to the company’s CEO Hardeep Singh Brar, the weakness of the rupee, increase in logistics costs and rising prices of raw materials are the main reasons for this decision. The new prices will be applicable from April 1, 2026.
BMW and Mini cars will become expensive from April
BMW sells its cars in India through two modes – local manufacturing and Complete Built Unit (CBU). The models manufactured in India include BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe, BMW 3 Series Long Wheelbase, BMW 5 Series Long Wheelbase, BMW 7 Series, BMW X1, BMW X3, BMW X5, BMW X7 and BMW iX1 Long Wheelbase. Whereas, CBU models include vehicles like BMW i5, BMW i7, BMW iX, BMW Z4 M40i, BMW M2 Coupe, BMW M4 Competition, BMW M5 and BMW XM.
BMW M2 CS launched in India
- The company recently launched the BMW M2 CS in India at a price of Rs 1.66 crore (ex-showroom). This is the company’s second CS model after the M4 CS and has been brought to India as a CBU.
- This car has a 3.0-liter twin-turbo engine, which generates power of 530 HP and torque of 650 Nm. This is the same engine that is used in the BMW M4 GT3 EVO.
- Talking about performance, this car accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds and its top speed is 302 km/h. For better control, it has been given special suspension and light body structure.
