New Delhi:- Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a two-day visit to the Gulf country Kuwait. He received a warm welcome in Kuwait on the second day of his tour on Sunday. PM Modi was given a formal guard of honor at the Bayan Palace here. The Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah was also present during the ceremony. The spokesperson of the Indian Foreign Ministry has shared the details of this meeting on X. Let us tell you that this visit is the first visit of an Indian Prime Minister to Kuwait in 43 years.

He was warmly welcomed by His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister of Kuwait. Further extensive talks will also be held with the Amir, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Kuwait.
On the first day on Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the opening ceremony of the 26th Arabian Gulf Cup as 'Guest of Honor'. He met with the Emir, Sheikh Meshaal al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah.
'I also work for 140 crore families'
PM Modi told the Indian workers- “I talk about Developed India 2047 because the labor brothers of my country who have come so far to work, also think about how to build an international airport in their village? This aspiration is the strength of my country…”

Modi at the inauguration of the Arab Gulf Cup
The opening ceremony of the football cup took place at the Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium in Kuwait City. Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a picture with the Emir on social media platform The External Affairs Ministry said in a statement that the event provided an opportunity for informal talks between the two leaders.
Let us tell you that the Arab Gulf Cup is a biennial football tournament in which eight countries participate, which includes Iraq and Yemen along with GCC countries. This time the opening match of host Kuwait will be played with Oman. Prime Minister Modi congratulated all the teams participating in the tournament.
Modi addressed NRIs
On Saturday, PM Modi addressed the NRI community in Kuwait in a special program called 'Hala Modi'. The event was held at the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Indoor Sports Complex. He praised the role of the Indian community in global development and said that India has the potential to become the “skill capital of the world”.
Modi said that hundreds of Indians come to Kuwait every year. You have decorated Kuwaiti society with Indian colours. You have added a blend of India's talent, technology and tradition to Kuwait. The Prime Minister also praised the contribution of Indian teachers, engineers and architects.
He called upon the Indian diaspora to join the campaign to make India a developed nation by 2047 and said that India is working in the interest of the world as “Vishwa Bandhu”. The Prime Minister termed the Indian community in Kuwait from different parts of India as “mini-Hindustan”.
