Prime Minister Modi’s sharp attack on the opposition, said- SP had made Noida an ATM of their loot

Noida, 28 March. On the occasion of the inauguration of Noida International Airport in Jewar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a scathing attack on Samajwadi Party (SP) and Congress. He said that earlier SPs had made Noida an ATM for their loot. Congress and the previous governments of Uttar Pradesh did not even allow the foundation of this airport to be laid. Addressing the inauguration program of the airport in Jewar, Prime Minister Modi said, “It is being built such an airport where a plane will take off every two minutes. Earlier, SP people had made Noida an ATM of their loot. But today under the BJP government, the same Noida is becoming a powerful engine of development of Uttar Pradesh. Jewar Airport is also a very good example of the working culture of the ‘double engine’ government.”

He said that in 2003, the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government had approved this airport, but the airport was not built. The Congress at the Center and the previous governments here (Uttar Pradesh) did not even allow the foundation of this airport to be laid for years. From 2004 to 2014, this airport remained buried in files. When our government was formed, there was SP government in Uttar Pradesh. In the first two-three years, the SP people did not allow work on it, but as soon as the BJP government was formed here, the foundation of Jewar Airport was laid, it was constructed and today it has also been inaugurated.

PM Modi said, “Noida was earlier left to its own fate due to superstition, the previous rulers were afraid of coming here due to the fear of losing the chair. I remember, when there was SP government here and I made a program to come to Noida, the Chief Minister was so scared that he did not come to that program. An attempt was made to scare me too, it was said that ‘Don’t go to Noida Modi ji, you have just become the Prime Minister.’ I said, ‘I am going to seek the blessings of that earth, which will give me an opportunity to serve for a long time.’ Today the same area is ready to welcome the whole world. This entire region is strengthening the resolve of self-reliant India.”

Addressing the program, PM Modi said that airport is not just a common facility in any country. These airports also give flight to progress. Before 2014, there were only 74 airports in the country, today there are more than 160 airports. Now apart from the metros, air connectivity is also reaching small towns of the country. Earlier governments believed that air travel should be only for the rich, but the BJP government has made air travel easy for ordinary Indians too.
