Prime Minister Narendra Modi leaves for Russia tour for BRICS summit, may meet Chinese President Jinping!

Brics Summit 2024: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has left for Kazan city of Russia today i.e. on 22 October for a two-day visit to participate in the 16th BRICS summit. Let us tell you that leaders of 28 countries will also participate in the BRICS conference to be held in Kazan city under the chairmanship of Russia. This meeting is said to be important in many ways. During his two-day visit, PM Modi will be part of a bilateral meeting with counterparts and leaders of BRICS member countries in Kazan.

In this conference to be held in Kazan, emphasis will be laid on dealing with serious challenges like economic cooperation, climate change and international security. The summit will begin today and its main session will be held on the second day tomorrow i.e. on 23 October. In which there will be an open complete session in the afternoon after the morning session. Various global topics will be discussed in it.

Apart from PM Modi, Chinese President Xi Jinping will also visit Russia to participate in the BRICS summit. In such a situation, speculations are being made that there may be a meeting between President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Modi. Although it is not clear yet, but according to Indian Ambassador Vinay Kumar, the agenda of the bilateral meeting is being considered.

These countries got invitation in BRICS conference

Russia, Brazil, China, India, Egypt, Ethiopia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, UAE, Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Thailand, Turkey, Venezuela, Vietnam, Serbia, Palestine, Morocco, Nicaragua, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Malaysia, Mauritania, Mexico, Mongolia, Bahrain, Belarus, Bolivia, Cuba, Congo, Armenia, Ethiopia, China, Brazil, Mongolia, Bahrain, etc. Leaders from about 28 countries are expected to gather in this conference.

BRICS was established in the year 2006 and originally included Brazil, Russia, India and China. But in 2010, South Africa was also made its full member, after which its name was changed to BRICS. In which BRICS, along with Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, represents a quarter of the global economy.
