Ranchi: A businessman in the airport area has filed a complaint of extortion. He and his associates have been threatened with death if the ransom is not paid. The victim told that when he was at Titos restaurant, he received a call from an unknown number on his mobile number. When the call was not picked up, a message was sent, identifying himself as Prince Khan, Dubai and demanding money.

Victim Rajkumar Gop told that the caller threatened to kill him, Pushkar Mahato and Pintu of his village and asked to pay an amount of Rs 1 crore. Along with this, if the amount was not given, his family was also warned of harm. After this, he informed the local police about the entire incident and registered a case. During the complaint, it was also mentioned that during the investigation done at his level, he suspected that some local people of Lodhama village, Pintu and Devraj Sahu, were passing information about their activities to a third party.

Taking the matter seriously, the police have started investigation and efforts are being made to identify the number sending the message and the source of the call. Police have said that from the same number from which extortion demand was made, extortion demand has already been made from a businessman living in Palamu.
