The picture showed the royal couple on a balcony overlooking Florence’s iconic cathedral. Prince Mateen was dressed in a white shirt and ecru trousers, while Yang Mulia Anisha Rosnah stunned in a sleek black roll-neck dress.

Yang Mulia Anisha Rosnah rested her hand on her husband’s chest, showcasing her engagement ring. Her hair was styled in a cascading ponytail, complemented by glittering earrings.

“Happy 1st anniversary,” the prince captioned the post, adding a heart emoji.

At 34, Prince Mateen is a polo enthusiast who represented Brunei at the 2017 and 2019 SEA Games. He was also named one of Asia’s most eligible bachelors by Tatler magazine in 2016.

Yang Mulia Anisha Rosnah, 31, is an entrepreneur in the cultural tourism sector and a graduate of the University of Bath in the U.K. She has deep connections within Brunei’s royal circles. Her grandfather, Pehin Dato Isa, was a notable government advisor in the 1960s and 1970s, while her brother, Danial Deen Isa-Kalebic, is a close friend of Prince Mateen.

Her sister-in-law, Janetira Attaskulchai Deen, is linked to Thailand’s Attaskulchai family, known for owning the Betagen yogurt brand.

The couple’s wedding, held from Jan. 7-16 in Bandar Seri Begawan, was attended by around 5,000 guests, including international dignitaries.
