Princess Kate, William avert crisis at Kensington Palace

Future monarch William and his wife Kate avoided an untoward situation just days before Christmas.

Princess Catherine and William could land in trouble if they were at Kensington Palace  on December 21 and December 23 as a man  tried to break into their home twice.

39-year-old Derek Egan was detained on the public side after being seen on security cameras.

“A man was charged with trespassing on a protected site and breaching bail conditions. He was remanded in custody and appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, December 24,” according to Metropolitan Police spokesman.

As per reports, the suspect was first meant to appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Christmas Eve but declined to leave his prison van and was remanded in custody.

The Waleses were not there at the time of the alleged break-ins.

The family were thought to have been staying at Anmer Hall, their private country home on the Sandringham estate, during their children’s holiday vacation from school.

Just a few days after the alleged incidents, William, Kate and their kids stepped out at the Christmas Day service at the Church of St. Mary Magdalene in Norfolk.

The family of five stole the spotlight with their spirits and charm during the royal family’s annual Christmas walk.
