Prithvi Shaw disappointed after being ignored from Vijay Hazare Trophy, raised questions on BCCI after being left out of the team
Mumbai: Where Prithvi Shaw has been on people's radar for some time now due to his poor form. Due to his poor form, no one bought Shaw even in the mega auction held for IPL 2025. Now the news is coming that on Tuesday, he expressed disappointment over being dropped from the Mumbai team for the Vijay Hazare Trophy one-day cricket tournament starting from December 21. Actually, Shaw is not only in the headlines for his poor form, but for some time now a lot of questions are being raised on his discipline.
The current season has been one to forget for 25-year-old Prithvi, who was once one of India's most talented players and scored a century on his Test debut. Prithvi was dropped midway through the Ranji Trophy league stage due to fitness and disciplinary reasons but returned to the team for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, which Mumbai won. Even in the IPL auction in November, no franchise bid for him. Even in the top domestic competition, his performance was not impressive. He got off to a good start on a few occasions but failed to score a half-century.

Prithvi wrote on Instagram, “Lord tell me, what else do I have to see?” Despite 3399 runs (in Vijay Hazare) in 65 innings, an average of 55.7 and a strike rate of 126, I am not good enough. But I will keep my faith in you and hopefully people will still believe in me because I will definitely make a comeback. Om Sai Ram.”
