Recently, Priyanka Chopra, the “Desi Girl” of Bollywood, and Nick Jonas, the singer-actor from Hollywood, celebrated Karwa Chauth, reminding fans of the iconic duo Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai.
Priyanka uploaded a photo and video collage of her and Nick to the photo and video sharing app Instagram.
In the photos, which show them celebrating the Hindu holiday of Karwa Chauth, Nick is seen giving his wife Priyanka water from a little brass pot.
Priyanka is seen in the picture sipping from Nick’s hands while clutching a sieve—which is necessary for carrying out this ritual—with one hand and a prayer thali in the other.
Furthermore, Nick is seen on a video conversation with Priyanka’s mother, Madhu Chopra, while carrying a cell phone.
In one picture, Priyanka displays her hand adorned with henna, featuring Nick’s birth date, “3,” and a heart drawn on it.
The star couple celebrated this occasion in London, sharing memorable photos on social media to involve their fans in their joy.
Alongside the post, Priyanka included a song that made Bollywood enthusiasts reminisce about Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai.
The song is “Chand Chhupa Badal Mein” from the iconic film “Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam,” which was released in 1999.
In the song, Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai, playing the roles of Sameer and Nandini, share intimate moments while secretly celebrating the Karwa Chauth festival.
It’s worth noting that Priyanka Chopra married Nick Jonas, a Christian, in December 2018 in Jodhpur, and they welcomed their only daughter, Malti Marie, in January 2022.
