Priyanka Chopra made a funny comment on SS Rajamouli’s ‘Varanasi’ budget rumours.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas came as the first guest on season 4 of Netflix’s *The Great Indian Kapil Show*, where host Kapil Sharma jokingly asked about the reported **₹1300 crore** budget of her upcoming film *Varanasi* directed by SS Rajamouli.

Kapil joked that the cost had increased with Priyanka’s involvement, and added that the budget increased after her joining. When Kapil revealed the figure of ₹1,300 crore, Priyanka smiled and said “yes”, but she humorously responded to Kapil’s point that a large part of it went towards his fees: “You mean you’re trying to catch a bad nose?” He did not disclose his fee, and kept the conversation light-hearted.

*Varanasi*, an epic action-adventure film with science-fiction elements, stars Mahesh Babu as Rudra, Priyanka as Mandakini and Prithviraj Sukumaran as the villain Kumbha. Written by V Vijayendra Prasad and composed by MM Keeravani, the film is being made on a large scale, with a reported budget of ₹1000–1200 crore (some media outlets have reported the rumor to be ₹1300 crore). The figure of ₹1300 crore has not been officially confirmed, but it has got a lot of discussion from this viral segment.

The shooting of the film is underway, and it is planned to be released in 2027. This humorous interaction shows the hype of the film, which is one of the most ambitious projects in Indian cinema.
