A recent episode of The Kapil Sharma Showfeaturing Priyanka Chopra, saw some hilarious banter between the host and the guest. Kapil made some jokes about the production scale and the budget of Priyanka’s first Telugu film, Varanasidirected by SS Rajamouli and co-starring Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran. Kapil quipped, “No job that Priyanka undertakes is small. Everything she is part of is larger than life. Even when she does a film, it is with Rajamouli sir, and we know that he makes big budget films.”
Then, Kapil joked that the makers of Rajamouli and Priyanka’s next film are also using a part of its 1,300 crore budget to help the people of Varanasi earn jobs. “Will you be just making the film with the 1,300 crore or will it also help provide jobs for the people of Varanasi?” he quipped, eliciting a big laugh from the guest. Kapil also claimed that Priyanka’s entry into the project increased the film’s budget. “Is this true? I want to confirm it with you,” Kapil asked Priyanka. In response, Priyanka rhetorically said, “Are you trying to say that half the budget has gone into my bank account?”
