Priyanka Chopra recollects bitter-sweet memories from her early career
Priyanka Chopra Jonas recently took a trip down memory lane and recalled her ‘dreadful’ dancing skills.
The 43-year-old actress, who made her mark in Hollywood after doing successful films in the Indian industry, opened up about interacting with Katrina Kaif.
In an exclusive conversation with Vogue Arabia, the Krishna star reflected on her early days in Bollywood.
Speaking to the outlet, she explained, “I was a dreadful dancer when I first started. I was not able to act and nail the choreography at the same time, plus coordinate with my co-star. It was just too many things for my 19- or 20-year-old brain.”
The Heads of State actress also shared that senior choreographer Raju Khan berated her because of her inability to dance at the time.
Recalling the time when he lashed out at her on the sets of one of her first films, Priyanka said, “I was filming with Raju Khan in South Africa and missing my marks. He got so upset with me that he threw the mic down, saying, ‘You might come from a pageant, but learn how to dance before you become an actress. ’ He just walked away, and I was so embarrassed.”
On professional front, the actress was last seen in Amazon Prime Video’s The Bluff, and is gearing up for her much-awaited Indian film Varanasi.
