Priyanka Chopra rumored to star in with Mahesh Babu

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra’s fans are eagerly awaiting her return to Indian cinema. Meanwhile, rumors are circulating that she will be seen opposite Mahesh Babu in the next film by SS Rajamouli titled SSMB29.

Priyanka Chopra was spotted at Hyderabad airport last night and shared a video on her Instagram showing her traveling from Toronto to Hyderabad via Dubai. While she did not provide a caption, the video featured a song from Rajamouli’s film RRR confirming her possible appearance in his upcoming movie.

She arrived in Hyderabad on Thursday, wearing a chocolate-colored dress and was seen surrounded by tight security at the airport.

SSMB29 is being considered a global-scale adventure film and it is rumored to be released in two parts with the first part expected in 2028 and the second in 2029. Reports also suggest that the film will be produced with a budget of 900 to 1000 crore rupees.

Rajamouli is reportedly seeking a globally renowned actress for the key heroine role and Priyanka Chopra seems to be the perfect fit. Over the past nine months, the filmmaker has had multiple meetings with Chopra and stakeholders are excited about the project.

Another source mentioned that Priyanka Chopra is ready to collaborate with Mahesh Babu and Rajamouli on a groundbreaking adventure film that will feature numerous action scenes for which Chopra has already started her preparations.

It’s worth noting that Priyanka Chopra is preparing to return to Telugu cinema after 23 years since her debut in the 2002 romantic film Apoorvapam. Her last film appearance was in Ramin Bahrani’s The White Tiger released on Netflix in 2021 while her most recent Bollywood film was The Sky Is Pink released in 2019.
