Priyanka Chopra Supports Janhvi Kapoor’s Message on Gender Equality With Instagram Shoutout

Actor Priyanka Chopra has voiced her support for Janhvi Kapoor’s message on gender equality, emphasising the power of conversation and awareness in driving meaningful change. On Friday, Priyanka reshared a video of Janhvi on her Instagram Stories, applauding the young actor for speaking confidently about women’s rights and the value of using one’s voice.


In the video, originally posted from the We The Women Asia event in Mumbai, Janhvi speaks about the need to engage in dialogue, encourage debate, and inspire younger generations to recognise what true equality represents. She highlights the strength and resilience of women, stating that there is “no greater privilege than being a woman” and calling for equal treatment across society.

Reposting the clip, Priyanka added, “It starts with a conversation, so here I go. Preach Janhvi Kapoor,” alongside a clapping emoji.

Priyanka, who was most recently seen in Heads of State, is preparing for her return to Indian cinema with SS Rajamouli’s upcoming Telugu film Varanasi, starring Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran. The film is set for release during Sankranthi 2027. She will also appear in The Bluff, playing a 19th-century Caribbean pirate, and continues work on the next season of the global web series Citadel.

Janhvi, who last appeared in Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, will next be seen in Peddi alongside Ram Charan. Directed by Uppena filmmaker Buchi and produced by Vriddhi Cinemas, the film features an ensemble cast including Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyendu Sharma, and Boman Irani. With music by AR Rahman and cinematography by R. Rathnavelu, Peddi is scheduled for theatrical release on March 27, 2026.
