BJP national spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari said, “…the question is what is the source of Priyanka Vadra's income? Priyanka Vadra's party exploits the Indian stock market. This is the same Vadra family, which had invested in stocks and mutual funds of big business houses. Why is there this hypocrisy in Vadra and Vadra family.

He said, 'The people of India are asking Vadra that according to the affidavit, he had purchased land in 2013, the price of which has increased five times. What source of income did they have to buy that land? Like her husband, is Vadra ji involved in shady land deals? When Mr Vadraji was involved in dubious deals in NCR, was he working with her husband?

“The people of India want to know from the corrupt Vadra-Gandhi family what was the source of income of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and how can it happen that the value of the demand notice is more than the declared assets, it means that Vadra Gandhi The family is hiding its corrupt deeds.”

In her nomination papers, Priyanka has declared a total income of more than Rs 46.39 lakh in the financial year 2023–2024, which includes interest from banks, investments and rental income.

Priyanka Gandhi, giving details of her movable assets and liabilities in the affidavit filed with the nomination papers, said that she has movable assets worth more than Rs 4.24 crore, which includes 4400 grams (gross) gold worth Rs 1.15 crore, her husband Robert Vadra Honda CRV car gifted by him and deposits of different amounts in three bank accounts, including investments in mutual funds and PPF.

His immovable assets are worth over Rs 7.74 crore, which include two portions of inherited agricultural land in New Delhi's Mehrauli area and half of a farmhouse building with a current value of over Rs 2.10 crore.

Also, according to his affidavit, he owns a self-acquired residential property in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh with a current value of more than Rs 5.63 crore.

In her affidavit, Priyanka has also given details of the movable and immovable assets of her husband Robert Vadra, which are worth more than Rs 37.9 crore and more than Rs 27.64 crore. Priyanka, who has liabilities of Rs 15.75 lakh, holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Buddhist Studies in Distance Education from a UK university and a BA Honors degree in Psychology from Delhi University.

His affidavit states that he is facing income tax reassessment proceedings for assessment year 2012–13, according to which he will have to pay more than Rs 15 lakh as tax.
