Belagavi: In the Belagavi session of Congress, Congress General Secretary and Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi made a sharp attack on BJP and RSS. Addressing the Jai Bapu- Jai Bhim- Jai Constitution rally, the Congress leader said that there have been governments of many parties in the country, but no such government came whose Home Minister could stand in the Parliament and insult Baba Saheb. There was no government whose leaders said that they will change the Constitution.

Throughout Priyanka Gandhi's speech, the Constitution, Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar, Mahatma Gandhi and BJP-RSS along with Narendra Modi, Amit Shah remained at the centre. Taking aim at Home Minister Shah, he said that no one had thought that people in power would talk about weakening the Constitution and that a messiah like Baba Saheb Ambedkar would be insulted in Parliament. By insulting Baba Saheb, the Home Minister has insulted democracy and all the freedom fighters and martyrs who sacrificed everything for the country.

'RSS people burnt effigies of Ambedkar'

Priyanka Gandhi said that after the independence of the country, the Constitution was made on the basis of the principles that emerged from the freedom struggle under the leadership of Baba Saheb Ambedkar. He said that the Constitution is not just a book, but is the protective shield of every citizen of the country. Baba Saheb Ambedkar, the creator of the Constitution, is the messiah of Dalits, tribals, backward people and the poor. They are symbols of social justice and rights.

The same ideology insulted the Constitution at that time too and launched a campaign against the Constitution. When Baba Saheb talked about women's rights, RSS people burnt the effigies of Ambedkar ji. BJP was born from the ideology of RSS, that is why today BJP people are openly insulting our Constitution and Baba Saheb.

'BJP changed SEBI law'

After coming to power, the anti-constitutional BJP and RSS want to weaken the reservation. People of BJP give statements against social justice. Weaken the judiciaries and laws like RTI. BJP changed SEBI law so that corruption can increase. Lokpal Bill was weakened and the Election Commission was made powerless. Referring to the Adani issue, he said that all the assets of the country have been handed over to Adani. When we say in Parliament that a case has been registered against Adani in America and investigation should be done, then an attempt is made to suppress our voice. Today the farmer of the country is surrounded by problems, he has to pay GST on everything. He is forced to commit suicide due to a debt of Rs 1 lakh each. On the other hand, Modi government waives off loans worth Rs 17 lakh crore of industrialists. This is against the constitution.
