When Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla called Priyanka Gandhi's name, she arrived with the Constitution book in her hand and took the oath. Priyanka won the by-election on Rahul Gandhi's vacant seat in Wayanad by more than four lakh votes, due to which three members of the Gandhi family will be in Parliament from today.

After taking the oath, Priyanka also greeted Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla with folded hands. After this, he also greeted with folded hands the leaders sitting in the front row in the opposition, including his brother Rahul Gandhi.

After taking the oath, Priyanka sat in the fourth row of seats made for opposition MPs, while Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi was sitting in the first row.

Priyanka Gandhi's brother Rahul Gandhi, who is the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, and her mother Sonia Gandhi, a Rajya Sabha MP, will see three members of the Gandhi-Nehru family in any House for the first time in the history of the country.
