Priyanka Gandhi wanted time, Gadkari immediately invited
New Delhi: A pleasant and friendly scene was seen in the Lok Sabha on Thursday amid the huge uproar going on in the winter session of Parliament and the discussion on the new bill ‘VB-G RAM G’ brought to replace ‘MNREGA’. Congress leader and Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra had sought an appointment with Union Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari during the Question Hour, in response to which Gadkari immediately invited her to his office.
During the Question Hour, Priyanka Gandhi raised questions regarding the Chandigarh-Shimla route and her parliamentary constituency Wayanad. Meanwhile, she addressed the minister and said, “Sir, I have been seeking time to meet you since the month of June for my vote expansion work, but have not got the time yet. Please give me some time to meet.” On this request of Priyanka Gandhi, Nitin Gadkari gave a professional and positive response and said, “You do not need any appointment. Our doors are always open for everyone. As soon as this Question Hour is over, you come to my office in Parliament, I will listen to you.”

As soon as the Question Hour ended, Priyanka Gandhi reached Nitin Gadkari’s office. This visit was not just limited to business, but Gadkari also fed a special rice dish to the host Priyanka Gandhi. Development works were discussed between the two leaders in a very relaxed atmosphere.
It is noteworthy that in this session, the opposition is strongly protesting against the bill to change the name of MNREGA to ‘Developed India Guarantee for Employment and Livelihood Mission (Rural)’ i.e. VB-G RAM G. Amidst this tussle, the meeting between Gadkari and Priyanka Gandhi has attracted everyone’s attention in political circles.
