New Delhi: Everyone was surprised in the Lok Sabha on Thursday when Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra openly sought an appointment from Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari during the Question Hour. Priyanka told that she has been trying to meet Gadkari for the last several months, but was not getting time.
Priyanka was making rounds since June!
Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi was asking supplementary questions regarding the Chandigarh-Shimla highway. Then she interrupted and said, “I have been asking for an appointment with you since the month of June regarding the issues of my area, but till now I have not got it. Please give me time.”
Gadkari’s immediate reply – “Come, the door is open!”
After listening to Priyanka, Nitin Gadkari smiled and immediately said, “You come after the question hour. You come anytime, the door is always open for me. There is no need for appointment.”
After this there was light laughter and applause in the house. Priyanka also replied smiling, but this moment quickly went viral on social media.
