Producer claims- received threats to kill and behead

New Delhi. The film ‘Black Deer: The Battle of Legacy’, based on Salman Khan’s famous black buck hunting case, has been embroiled in a big controversy even before its release. The film’s producer Amit Jani has claimed that he is continuously receiving death threats on social media. He says that some people are even threatening to behead him if he comes to Mumbai. This entire incident has once again brought the film and the controversy related to it into the headlines.

In fact, recently Salman Khan’s legal team had sent a notice to the producers of the film demanding a ban on the production and promotion of the film. In the notice, parties associated with the film were also asked to tender a written apology. It was also warned that legal action would be taken if the response was not received within the stipulated time.

After this, Amit Jani released a video on social media, in which he was allegedly seen tearing the notice. In the video, he said that people are asking him how he will reply to the notice, but when he is receiving continuous threats then who should he reply to. He says that thousands of people are making derogatory comments and threats against him on social media.

Amit Jani alleged that some so-called fans and anti-social elements are talking about targeting his family also. He said that despite attempts to intimidate, he is not going to back down and will continue working on his project.

It is noteworthy that the plot of ‘Blackbuck: The Battle of Legacy’ is said to be inspired by the much talked about blackbuck hunting case of 1998, in which Salman Khan’s name had cropped up. For this reason, this project has remained at the center of controversies since the announcement of the film.

  • At present, both legal and public debates are going on regarding the matter. On one hand, the producers of the film are talking about freedom of expression and their creative freedom, while on the other hand, Salman Khan’s legal team is taking steps to protect their rights. Everyone’s eyes are fixed on which direction this controversy will take in the coming days.
