New Delhi: Voting for Maharashtra Assembly elections is to be held on November 20. Due to which the government has declared a public holiday in the entire state on this day. Apart from all government offices and other related institutions, banks will also remain closed on the day of voting. Due to public holiday, no financial transactions will be possible in banks on 20th November. It is noteworthy that voting for 288 assembly constituencies of Maharashtra is to be held in one phase on 20th November. In such a situation, to ensure voting without any interruption, there will be a holiday in all private and government offices.
According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), banks will remain closed in Maharashtra on November 20. In such a situation, those who want to do their regular banking services like withdrawing money, depositing or clearing checks should do so on or after November 20. However, despite the bank holiday, mobile banking and net banking facilities will continue to operate normally. This means that customers can conduct financial transactions through these digital platforms anytime and from anywhere.

Banks closed for total 13 days in November
Talking about bank holidays in the month of November, apart from 20th November, there are many other holidays in this month. At the same time, banks are going to remain closed for 13 days in the entire month. These include Diwali, Guru Nanak Jayanti, Chhath Puja and other local festivals, which have already passed. Financial services will not be available in banks during these holidays, but digital transactions will continue.
